If you'd like to know more about the subject of copyright, then we would recommend the following resources.
The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is the official governmental website about copyright (intellectual property) in the UK. On the IPO website you'll find information about the benefits of copyright protection and what a copyright owner's exclusive economic rights are. You'll also find out what copyright applies to. This is for instance software, recorded materials, written materials, drawings, internet designs, website content, as well as photography and drawings. The Intellectual Property Office website also explains ownership of copyright. The IPO is the operating name of the Patent Office and it also deals with trade marks.
At the Office of Public Section Information (OPSI), which is part of the National Archives, you can read the full text of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
